Endurance is the ability to work hard for a long period of time. If that hard work is combined with weights we can speak of Strength Endurance. Note that if strength endurance is what you look for then you might be interested to have a strength workout first as it would increase your strength and improve what you can achieve later with a strength endurance workout. Endurance workouts do require to execute powerful movements in quick succession and few seconds of rest between sets. When weights are involved those are as high as you can lift in this type of workout. That usually results in lifting light weights, however if your work targets a particular sport you may want to keep at least the weight equivalent to the applied force in that sport. This type of training is also very useful to lose weight as long as you keep a caloric deficit in your diet. Start from a 10% caloric deficit and adjust according to your body reaction and your ability to recover energies between workout sessions. In order to improve your general endurance you should opt for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts.
